Change Doesn’t Wait, You Have to Move First + Food For Thought + Book Recommendation | 1.30.25

SO GLAD YOU’RE HERE :-)

Hello Beautiful,

I've been having conversations this week with a few women about something that keeps coming up: If you’re not content with something in your life, what actions are you taking to change it?

It’s easy to feel stuck, waiting for the perfect timing, hoping for a shift, or convincing yourself that “someday” things will be different. But the truth is, nothing changes without action. Whether it’s how you see yourself, your relationships, your work, or your sense of purpose, transformation isn’t about luck or talent. It’s about consistency. The small, unglamorous, often “boring” choices you make every single day.

I see this all the time in my work. Women come into my studio feeling disconnected from themselves, sometimes uncertain if they even belong in front of the camera. They tell me they’ve wanted to do this for years but never felt ready. And yet, the ones who step into that vulnerable space, who take action despite their nerves, leave with something more than photos. They leave with a shift in how they see themselves. Because change doesn’t happen when you FEEL ready. It happens when you DECIDE to show up for yourself.

It applies to everything. Confidence isn’t something you wake up with, it’s built through daily choices. The same goes for relationships, success, and self-growth. It’s about the work you put in when no one is watching, when motivation fades, and when doubt creeps in. That’s the space where real transformation happens.

So if something in your life isn’t fulfilling you right now, ask yourself: What am I actively doing to change it? Not hoping, not wishing, but truly doing? The life you want isn’t waiting for you, it’s built by the actions you take, day after day, moment by moment.

It doesn’t have to be a huge leap. It just has to be something. One small step. One decision to move forward. That’s where everything begins.

WHAT I’M READING

Book Recommendation

I just finished The New Menopause by Dr. Mary Claire Haver, and honestly, I wish I had read it sooner! If you’re in your 30s, 40s, or beyond and want to actually understand what’s going on with your body (instead of just guessing or Googling symptoms at 2 AM), this book is a game-changer. Dr. Haver explains everything in a way that makes sense—no confusing medical jargon, just real, practical info you can actually use.

I’m a big believer in educating myself and making changes when needed to feel my best, and this book reinforced just how much power we have over our health. If you're in the middle of the hormone rollercoaster, suspect you’re heading there, or just want to be prepared, I highly recommend giving this one a read!
