Putting Myself Out There + Food For Thought + Book Recommendation | 1.23.25

SO GLAD YOU’RE HERE :-)

Hello Beautiful,

The year is already off to a strong start, and I’m feeling energized as we move through these first few weeks. One of my goals this year is to get out more, connect with my community, and meet new people. At the same time, I’m working on introducing my photography to women who may not yet know my style. I truly believe that my work helps women connect, or reconnect, with themselves, and that sense of self can ripple out into every aspect of their lives, touching those around them in beautiful ways.

I’ve always been someone who enjoys meaningful connections, whether through my work or in everyday conversations. But when it comes to putting myself out there in new ways, I’ve realized it takes a little extra push. I’m far from being shy, but like anyone, I can sometimes find reasons not to make a move. This year, I’ve decided to stop overthinking. I already have two networking events lined up for February, and I’m looking forward to the energy and opportunities they’ll bring.

As I’ve started putting myself out there more, I’ve been reminded of how much I love chatting with people about their own goals and dreams. Hearing someone share what excites them, brainstorming ideas, and creating a plan to make it happen is one of the most fulfilling parts of any conversation for me.

What about you? Did you set any goals for this year? Have you found yourself needing to step out of your own way to make progress? I’d love to hear how you’re approaching the year ahead and what you’re working toward.

And as I’ve told my children, share your dreams and aspirations. When you share your dreams, you invite possibilities and open doors for others to help you bring them to life. You don’t need to keep your dreams so close to your chest, let them out into the world and watch them grow.

WHAT I’M READING

Book Recommendation

I’m almost done reading (well, listening via Audible) More Myself: A Journeyby Alicia Keys, and it deeply resonated with me. Alicia’s honesty and vulnerability feel like a heart-to-heart conversation, reminding us that becoming who we are is a continuous evolution.

Her journey highlights the power of reclaiming our narratives and staying true to ourselves. She shows the beauty in growth and imperfection, encouraging us to embrace authenticity and trust our path.

This book is more than a memoir; it’s a call to live with intention and self-compassion. If you haven’t read it, maybe you’d consider having a look :)
